In a world where monsters and demons roamed Earth, roaming all four corners living life to what they call “the fullest”, seeming to be blind, so blind they don’t see the chaos heading their way. These mysterious monsters seem to have called themselves “humans”.
Many years ago, there was a mass attack on humans, by creatures called the Xandi, they remain unseen by any human eye, not because they killed in the dark, but because no one could see them, they were virtually invisible. So, all a mundane was able to process about these attacks, was that the person had become insane or had done the damage to themselves.
That is until, an army of Scrapper’s came to this Earth, from Banon after hearing of the attack, they came to protect the Earth. Though they didn’t hear the full extent of how many there were and began to retreat to their planet, leaving Earth defenceless. That is until, the children of the Scrapper’s rise up after being hidden for the first few years of their lives.
During the time that Scrapper’s inhabited Earth, most fell in love with some humans, who understand what they were doing and tried their best to comprehend that they weren’t from that world. Meaning, quite a few bared children, the first of them was Benedict, or known by some as Neo, who did cause some conflict, but they did what they could to keep him alive.
When Neo was born, his parents knew he was to become a Scrapper when he had the same mark as his father, Viktor, except his Viktor’s grew over time by killing so many Xandi’s. The mark was three claw marks with a reptilian eye peering through, the eye of the Xandi. Soon enough there were over a few dozens of children born with this mark, the humans thought this meant the Scrapper’s were going to stay for good, but this was their way of leaving with a mark. As they were planning their retreat from Earth.
Viktor didn’t want to leave Neo or his wife behind, but his fleet wouldn’t allow it, but he did make sure that he left everything he could for Neo, so he could be prepared for the future. He left a few weapons behind, weapons that humans can use that are effective, as well as journals with notes to Neo and his experiences with the Xandi.
Within his journals, he describes what can hurt the Xandi the most, how to draw them out, how to sense them before he gets the ability to see them, and what his tattoo will mean as it begins to grow after each kill. He also talks about his home planet and why they are called Scrappers. Similarly, on Banon, Scrapper is the term for someone who is a fighter or a fierce competitor. Which means the same on Earth, but there is a second meaning, people who were given opportunity and the people who were given second chances and made the best of it.
Before they ‘ranked up’ enough to be able to see the Xandi with their eyes open, they could only sense them when their skin begins to tense and if they are close enough, they can see the Xandi’s heat signature glowing amber when they have their eyes closed.
With Neo being the first born of half Scrappers and half human, he was picked as the new leader when he was old enough. He had to find a way to bring all the Scrapper kids together, that is if the humans hadn’t corrupted them. After the Scrapper’s had retreated to Banon, humans didn’t appreciate anything or anyone that had association with them. Which made things harder for Neo, who now had to gain back the respect of the humans too.
